Lazarevac – My childhood in a city full of history and tradition

I grew up in Lazarevac , a charming town in the heart of Serbia. I lived there with my parents and brother from 1996 to 2002. This town may be small, but it has a rich history, strong community and significant landmarks that make it unique.

My Family and Our Roots

My family consisted of my parents, my brother and me. My father was a construction worker and worked in many countries, especially in Switzerland , to support us financially. Later we followed him there, but Lazarevac will always remain my home for me .

The cultural and spiritual significance of Lazarevac

Lazarevac is not only a town, but also a place full of history and traditions . One of the most significant sights is the Church of the Holy Great Martyr Demetrios , the spiritual center of many residents. This church impresses with its magnificent bell tower and ornate frescoes that reflect a piece of Serbian Orthodox culture and faith.

In addition to the church, there are other historical and cultural sights in Lazarevac:

Lazarevac remains my home

Although we later moved to Switzerland , I always return to Lazarevac to feel my roots . This city means much more to me than just the place of my childhood. It is a part of my identity and always will be.
