The icon of Our Lady of Jerusalem is one of the venerated representations of the Most Holy Theotokos in the Orthodox tradition. It recalls the special connection of the Mother of God with the Holy Land and the history of Christ's salvation. Orthodox Christians venerate the Most Holy Theotokos as an intercessor before her Son and turn to her in prayer, asking for protection, comfort and spiritual strength.
With its peaceful and dignified representation, the icon of Our Lady of Jerusalem invites prayer and spiritual reflection. It is a reminder of the maternal care of the Mother of God and of the trust the faithful place in her intercession.
This icon is part of the exclusive LAR Fine Silver Collection and combines traditional Orthodox iconography with high quality craftsmanship. The beautifully crafted icon is embellished with 999° fine silver applied using modern PVD technology. Fine gold details and red decorative stones emphasize its Byzantine inspired design and give the icon exceptional depth and expression. A special antioxidant treatment provides lasting protection against tarnishing. The solid dark genuine wood frame with its distinctive wave profile completes the elegant appearance.
The icon is available in various sizes and is suitable for a personal prayer corner, as a spiritual centre in the home or as a meaningful gift for a baptism, wedding, birth, Slava or other special occasion.
