Časoslov – Horologion (Book of Hours)

Časoslov (Book of Hours – Horologion)

The Časoslov is one of the fundamental liturgical books of the Orthodox Church: It contains the unchangeable parts of the daily cycle of divine services – Polunoćnica (Midnight Office), Jutrenje (Matins), the First, Third, Sixth, and Ninth Hours, Večernje (Vespers), as well as the Great and Small Compline. The book is named after the hourly prayers (časovi) it contains. The Časoslov is used at the Pevnica (chanter's stand) in churches and monasteries – and increasingly by believers at home who wish to live their day in the prayer rhythm of the Church.

The black hardcover edition features a gold-embossed cross and the title in gold letters; a bookmark makes daily opening easier. The volume comprises 360 pages in Serbian (Cyrillic script) in the format 20 × 13.5 cm.

A book for Pevci (chanters), Čteci (readers), and everyone who wishes to grow deeper into the prayer life of the Church – and a worthy gift for all who serve the Church.
