This book collects the diary entries of the last Russian empress, Saint Alexandra Fyodorovna Romanova, from September 1899. In her notes on marriage and family life (O braku i porodičnom životu), she writes about love, patience, fidelity, and daily togetherness – thoughts of a wife and mother who based her life entirely on faith. The Romanov imperial family is revered by the Orthodox Church as a holy family of martyrs, and therein lies the power of these lines: they come from a woman who lived what she wrote until the very end.
