Gospod Isus Hristos – život (The Life of the Lord Isus Hristos)

Gospod Isus Hristos – život (The Life of the Lord Isus Hristos)

The central book of the encyclopaedic series Slava tells the life of the Lord Isus Hristos from the very beginning: the events preceding His birth, the Nativity itself, His childhood and the beginning of His ministry, His words and sermons, the healings and miracles, up to the raising of the dead. The book also explains in depth why the Son of God gave Himself into the hands of His tormentors, why He died and rose again, what the eternal meaning of these events is, and how, after the Ascension, He has remained with those who are faithful to Him.

The authors, Deacon Nenad Ilić and Anastasija Ilić, draw on the texts of the Gospels and the interpretations of the holy Fathers. The work was published by Teatar ZA of Belgrade together with the Academy of the Serbian Orthodox Church for Art and Conservation (Akademija SPC za umetnost i konzervaciju), edited by Vladika Jovan (Purić). Numerous images of icons and frescoes accompany the text in Serbian (Cyrillic script). The volume is a large-format hardcover, 21 × 27 cm, with gold embossing.

A book for the whole family and for everyone who wishes to read the life of the Lord Isus Hristos in the light of Orthodox tradition – as the cornerstone of a home library or as a gift for Božić, Vaskrs, Slava, baptism or a wedding.
