Jesus Christ - Handmade Orthodox Wooden Icon 35 × 28.5 cm

The icon of Isus Hristos (Jesus Christ) is one of the most central and significant depictions in the Orthodox tradition. Christ is at the heart of the Christian faith and embodies love, redemption, truth, and eternal life.

This particularly elaborately designed Orthodox wooden icon is handcrafted in a workshop in Paraćin, Serbia. The motif is sculpturally rendered and surrounded by richly decorated, church-like architecture. Orthodox crosses, ornamental elements, and other fine details give the icon exceptional depth and presence.

Christ is depicted with the traditional cruciform nimbus. In one hand, he holds the Gospel book, while the other is raised in blessing. This depiction follows one of the most well-known pictorial traditions of Christ in Orthodox iconography. The warm, dark wood tones are highlighted by gold-colored elements, giving the icon a particularly dignified character.

Due to its handcrafted nature, each icon possesses its own unique character. Slight differences in wood grain, coloring, and surface texture are possible, making each piece an individual example of Serbian craftsmanship.

With a height of 35 cm at its highest point, a width of 28.5 cm, and a depth of approximately 4 cm, the icon has an impressive and substantial execution. It is particularly suitable as a wall icon for hanging. Alternatively, it can be securely leaned against a wall on a stable surface.

Whether as a gift for a baptism, wedding, Slava, housewarming, or for your own prayer space – this icon of Isus Hristos combines Orthodox spirituality with elaborate traditional Serbian craftsmanship.
