Krsne slave – crkveni praznici, srpske slave, zdravice, posni kuvar na vodi (Church Feasts, Slavas, Toasts and Lenten Cookbook)

Krsne slave (The Slavas) – crkveni praznici, srpske slave, zdravice, posni kuvar na vodi

This book brings together in one volume everything that belongs to the Slava and the church year: the fixed and movable feasts of the Lord from Bogojavljenje (Theophany) through Sretenje (the Presentation of the Lord) and Preobraženje (the Transfiguration) to Duhovi (Pentecost), the feasts of the Mother of God, the Serbian Slavas, the traditional zdravice (toasts) for the Slava table and a Lenten cookbook with dishes prepared on water.

All dates are given according to the old Julian calendar of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the new Gregorian calendar – so every feast day can be found right away in everyday life. The hardcover from the Belgrade publisher Edicija has a sewn binding and comprises 91 pages in Serbian (Cyrillic script).

A handy reference for every Serbian home – for preparing your own Slava, for the fasting table or as a gift for hosts and family.
