LAR Fine Silver Icon Bogorodica Gerontissa / 13 x 18 cm

The Bogorodica Gerontissa is one of the most revered Marian icons in the Orthodox world and has been associated with comfort, care, and miraculous help for centuries. Her name means "the Eldest" or "the Venerable" and refers to the wisdom, love, and maternal care of the Most Holy Theotokos. Orthodox Christians turn to the Mother of God in prayer to ask for support, protection, and spiritual strength in life's challenges.

This icon is part of the exclusive LAR Real Silver Collection and combines traditional Orthodox iconography with high-quality craftsmanship. The artistically designed icon image is refined with 999° fine silver and applied using modern PVD technology. Fine details give the motif special expressiveness and depth. A special antioxidant treatment permanently protects the silver surface from tarnishing. The narrow frame made of real wood provides an elegant and timeless look that effectively highlights the sacred motif.

This icon is suitable for a personal prayer corner, as a spiritual gift for baptisms, weddings, Slavas, or name days, and for all believers who wish to keep the Mother of God's closeness and intercession in their home.
