LAR Fine Silver Icon of the Mother of God, Softener of Evil Hearts

LAR Fine Silver Icon of the Mother of God, Softener of Evil Hearts

The icon Bogorodica Omekšanje Zlih Srca, in English "Softener of Evil Hearts", also known as the Seven Sorrows icon, is one of the profound depictions of the All-Holy Mother of God in the Orthodox tradition. The seven swords piercing her heart recall the sorrows and trials the Mother of God endured during her earthly life. At the same time, the icon stands for forgiveness, reconciliation, peace and the softening of hardened hearts.

This icon is part of the LAR Fine Silver Collection and combines traditional Orthodox iconography with high quality craftsmanship. The icon image is embellished with 999° fine silver applied using modern PVD technology, and is framed by fine gold details and a sculpted border. An antioxidant treatment provides lasting protection against tarnishing. The dark wooden frame is decorated with an ornamental border all around.

The icon is available in various sizes and is suitable for a personal prayer corner, as a spiritual centre in the home, and as a meaningful gift for a baptism, Slava, wedding or name day.
