Saint George, also known as Saint George the Great Martyr and Victory Bearer, is one of the best known and most highly venerated saints of the Orthodox Church. As a martyr of Christ and the conqueror of the dragon, he symbolizes courage, strength of faith and the victory of good over evil. His icon reminds the faithful to remain steadfast in their faith even in difficult times and to trust in God's help. Saint George holds a particularly important place in the Serbian Orthodox tradition and is venerated by many families as their patron saint and Krsna Slava.
This icon is part of the exclusive LAR Fine Silver Collection and combines traditional Orthodox iconography with high quality craftsmanship. The beautifully crafted icon is embellished with 999° fine silver applied using modern PVD technology. Fine details give the image exceptional depth and expression. A special antioxidant treatment provides lasting protection against tarnishing. The genuine wood frame creates an elegant and timeless appearance while placing the sacred image at the centre.
The icon is available in various sizes and is suitable for a personal prayer corner as well as a meaningful spiritual gift for a Slava, baptism, wedding or name day.
