This meaningful diptych unites two of the most deeply venerated figures of the Serbian Orthodox Church: Presveta Bogorodica, the Most Holy Mother of God, and Sveti Stefan, the first martyr and archdeacon. Their depiction stands for self-sacrifice, courage in faith, and the protective intercession of the Mother of God.
Both icons are applied in rich detail to durable MDF boards (medijapan) using a lamination technique and artfully refined with zlatotisak. The golden accents underline the spiritual significance of the saints and lend the diptych a festive, radiant presence.
An ideal companion for the home altar and prayer life, or as a thoughtful gift for a Slava or for a loved one.
