The icon Sretenje Gospodnje depicts the presentation of Christ in the Temple forty days after his birth. The Most Holy Theotokos brings the Christ Child to the Temple in Jerusalem according to the law, where he is received by the righteous Simeon. This event is one of the twelve great feasts of the Serbian Orthodox Church and symbolizes the encounter of man with the Redeemer.
This icon is made in close cooperation with our manufacturer in Čačak according to Svetazvezda's specifications. It stands for the highest quality and craftsmanship that consciously sets itself apart from ordinary mass-produced goods.
The motif is refined by Zlatotisak, an embossed gold print. This creates a special depth and radiance, which impressively highlights the solemn scene of Christ's encounter with Simeon. The black-colored Mediapan plate ensures stability and gives the icon a high-quality and dignified appearance.
With its format of 33.5 x 23.5 cm, this icon is ideal for a prayer corner at home, as a spiritual companion in everyday life, or as a meaningful gift for family and friends.
