Saint George – Handmade Orthodox Wooden Icon 35 × 28.5 cm

The icon of Sveti Georgije (Saint George) depicts one of the most famous and revered martyrs of the Orthodox Church. In the traditional depiction, Saint George appears on horseback fighting the dragon – a powerful symbol for the triumph of faith and good over evil.

This particularly elaborately designed Orthodox wooden icon is handcrafted in a workshop in Paraćin, Serbia. The motif is plastically worked and surrounded by richly decorated, church-like architecture. Orthodox crosses, ornamental elements, and other fine details lend the icon extraordinary depth and presence.

Sveti Georgije is depicted with a halo on his horse, defeating the dragon with his spear. The warm, dark wood tones are highlighted by gold-colored accents and emphasize the traditional character of the depiction.

Due to manual production, each icon has its own character. Slight differences in wood grain, coloring, and surface structure are possible and make each piece an individual example of Serbian craftsmanship.

With a height of 35 cm at the highest point, a width of 28.5 cm, and a depth of approximately 4 cm, the icon has an impressive and substantial design. It is particularly suitable as a wall icon for hanging. Alternatively, it can be securely leaned against a wall on a stable surface.

Whether as a gift for a Slava, baptism, wedding, housewarming, or for your own prayer space – the icon of Sveti Georgije combines Orthodox faith tradition with elaborate Serbian craftsmanship.
