Collection: Saint Tsar Lazar

Saint Tsar Lazar (Sveti Car Lazar, Holy Prince Lazar) is a great martyr and one of the most important saints of the Serbian people. In 1389 he led the Serbian army into the Battle of Kosovo and fell there for faith and fatherland. His choice of the Heavenly Kingdom lives on as the Kosovski zavet (Kosovo Covenant), deeply rooted in Serbian consciousness to this day. His relics rest in Ravanica Monastery.

Vidovdan, his feast day on June 28th, is one of the most significant days in Serbian history and is celebrated by families as their Slava. On this day Serbs in the homeland and in the diaspora remember those who fell at Kosovo.

This collection brings together everything associated with the veneration of Saint Tsar Lazar – for faith at home, for the Slava, and as a gift for families celebrating Vidovdan.
