Sveti Jovan Krstitelj — Saint John the Baptist — is the greatest prophet and forerunner of Jesus Christ. He prepared the way for the Redeemer, baptized him in the Jordan, and bore witness to his divinity. His life was entirely dedicated to God — ascetic, fearless, and marked by deep piety. In the Orthodox Church, he is revered as one of the greatest saints of all time.
This icon is part of the LAR fine silver collection and stands for the highest quality and craftsmanship that deliberately sets itself apart from ordinary mass-produced goods. The icon image is refined with 999° pure silver, applied using state-of-the-art PVD technology. Fine gold details and red gemstones emphasize the Byzantine iconography. An anti-oxidation treatment permanently protects the silver from tarnishing. The frame is made of solid genuine wood in a dark finish with a hand-carved wave profile.
This icon is suitable for personal prayer, as a spiritual center in the home, or as a meaningful gift for baptism, Slava, wedding, or name day.
