Svetazvezda Icon Saint Basil the Great

This icon depicts Sveti Vasilije Veliki (Saint Basil the Great), one of the most significant Church Fathers and saints of the Orthodox Church. As Archbishop of Caesarea, a great theologian, and a defender of the Orthodox faith, he profoundly shaped the ecclesiastical life of the 4th century.

Sveti Vasilije Veliki is particularly known for his deep theological teachings, his charity, and his commitment to the needy. His name is still closely associated with the Liturgy of Saint Basil the Great, which is celebrated on certain significant days of the Orthodox Church year.

In traditional Orthodox iconography, Sveti Vasilije Veliki is depicted as a bishop in liturgical vestments. His serious yet peaceful expression recalls his spiritual wisdom, his steadfastness in faith, and his life in service to Christ and the Church.

This icon is suitable for a personal prayer corner, as a spiritual gift for Slava, baptism, or name day, and for all believers who venerate Sveti Vasilije Veliki as a saint.

The icon is crafted in close cooperation with our manufacturer in Čačak according to Svetazvezda's clear specifications. The high-quality workmanship deliberately stands out from ordinary mass-produced goods.

The motif is enhanced by Zlatotisak, an embossed gold print that gives the icon depth, shine, and a special spiritual aura. The sturdy MDF board ensures durability and a high-quality feel.
