Svetazvezda Venčano platno – Serbian Orthodox Wedding Cloth

The Venčano platno is a traditional wedding cloth used in Serbian Orthodox weddings. It accompanies one of the most significant moments in the couple's life together and symbolizes the union of two people who begin their journey together in love, fidelity, and faith.

This Venčano platno is made of linen and adorned with elegant gold-colored embroidery. On one side, there is an Orthodox cross and the Cyrillic inscription "Срећно венчање" – "Happy Wedding." The other side features two doves and intertwined wedding rings as symbols of love, peace, fidelity, and marital union. A delicate white lace border finishes the cloth and gives it a particularly festive appearance.

With its dimensions of 123.5 × 32.5 cm, the Venčano platno is suitable for traditional use in church weddings. After the wedding, it can be kept as a special memento of the sacrament of marriage and the shared wedding day.
